Course Moderators play a key role in using any LMS effectively. Once the LMS is configured according to the needs of the organization, this person will be responsible for most of the tasks pertaining to the LMS.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1 years maximum 2 years of experience in LMS coordination
  • Any graduate
  • Effective communication: Speak, listen and write in a clear, thorough and timely manner using appropriate and effectivecommunication tools and techniques
  • Team player
  • Ability to help/mentor team members

Responsibilities:

  • The moderator has to manage existing course and users, as per the requirement and add new courses or course categories
  • The moderator has to manage existing course and users, as per the requirement and add new courses or course categoriesonly after the specified conditions are met, making courses available only after the receipt of payment (if the organization sells the course) and so on.
  • Moderator will ensure to keep the LMS learning experience lively for the user by sending emails in between to keep them engaged
  • Add or remove user
  • Create/Modify a course
  • Give limited access to managers and learners
  • Change default settings of an LMS as per the requirement
  • Generate various MIS reports that are required to understand usage of LMS
  • Provide troubleshooting to the users while they are taking the course in terms of configurations/settings/access issues
  • Provide content understanding help to user if there is any doubt. If can’t be resolved at moderator level then get SME involved to guide the user with the clarification.
  • Moderator may need to customize an LMS which is not programmable such as gradingsystem fine tuning or modifications, users time limit to complete a particular course etc
